What an amazing and truly blessed weekend!!! On Friday night Gene, Kim, Mei, Collin and I went to Harvest Crusade and saw Third Day. On Saturday Gene, Mei, Collin and I took Collin to his first Import Showoff event in Little Tokyo and then we went to Santa Monica to walk on the pier, walk on the beach, and climb some really high ropes.
Last night Mei, Collin and I went back to Harvest Crusade to watch Chris Tomlin perform in person and hear another amazing message by Pastor Greg Laurie. When we got to Angel Stadium about 45 minutes before the event started, there were about 25,000 people outside the stadium, as there were 3 or 4 lines wrapped around the stadium. Collin and I got inside in about 10 minutes, as we didn’t have to wait in the bag check line. It look Mei about an hour to get inside and she just made it before the event started and they closed off the stadium, as it was packed to capacity.
Friday night there were about 30,000 people in attendance and 3,000 or so people give their lives to Christ. Saturday night they had 47,000 people at the event, and over 4,300 people give their lives to Christ, and last night the stadium was jam packed with more then 52,000 people, and if I had to guess more then 5,000 people give their lives to Christ last night.
This was one of the most, if not the most amazing weekends of my life, and I am so thankful and blessed to have spent it with my boy, my amazing wife, my brother Gene and his girl friend Kim. I have never ever seen or could I imagine what it would look and feel like to worship God with 50,000+ people. We ended up sitting in section 508, 6 rows from the top by the left field pole, and man was the stadium rocking from beginning to end.
I had an amazing night and weekend with my family, and I can’t express how grateful I am for my salvation and God’s amazing gifts!
Here are some shots that I took last tonight at the Harvest Crusade.
