GURNADE RENDERS SCION FRS-GT

The Scion FRS, originally dubbed the Toyota FT-86 and subsequently the Toyota FT-86ii, oozes speed, sophistication, and quality. The vehicle marks a first for the Scion brand, as it’s their official introduction into the sport-class market. The vehicle, although still a concept, features a gull wing shaped roof, a trapezoidal rear end, and headlights fit for the future.

Gurnade Design Firm, known for their impressive vehicle renders, decided to update the Scion FRS to make it fit for the track. With the help of an industry leader and designer, Neil Tjin from Tjin Edition Roadshow, they took the Scion FRS to the next level.

To begin, Gurnade rendered the vehicle in Wraptivo Matte Metallic Silver wrap, making it truly stand out on the show floor and track. Matte coral accents can be found on the wing (from the Toyota FT-86ii), sport mirrors, enlarged calipers, and tow hook. A PowerHouse Amuse styled front bumper with carbon fiber inlays and hood complete the aggressive race package. Three-piece 21” brushed gunmetal ADV10 wheels from AdvanceOne Wheels and sport suspension not only make the vehicle look great, but also perform well at the track. Other additions such as a sporty interior and relocated door handles make this concept car appear more production ready.

Wekfest LA

After missing the first wekfest event in San Francisco earlier this year, Gene and I made sure not to miss the event when it came to Southern California, more specifically Long Beach this past weekend.

Having been to who knows how many different events all around the country, the wekfest team definitely put on a great event compared to many others out there. The vendor area was packed all day long with brands such as Function / Form, rotiform just to name a few. Car wise, many of the usuals were in attendance along with a few new builds that I hadn’t seen before but that didn’t stop showgoers from pulling out their cameras. Overall the event was everything we hoped it would be as far as the reaction from a mainly Import crowd towards the two Camaros we brought out. With the wekfest crew making a stop in Chicago in the coming months, there’s a very good chance you’ll be seeing the Tjin Edition RoadShow set up on the show floor at McCormick Place.

Wraptivo Photo Shoot / Video – Interview with the Tjin Edition Chevy Camaro SS

From January 17th to the 23rd, the Tjin Edition Chevy Camaro SS will be displayed in the Wraptivo booth at the first Barrett Jackson even of 2011.

Before the car was shipped out to Scottsdale, we met up with RJ de Vera from Wraptivo to photograph the Tjin Edition Chevy Camaro, and to do a video interview.

As many of you know, the Tjin Edition Chevy Camaro debuted at the 2009 SEMA show in a custom green color, and at the 2010 SEMA show it was transformed by the very talented staff at Wraptivo.

The Tjin Edition Chevy Camaro now sports a custom matte black wrap with custom yellow, orange and red flames.

Even though the Camaro sports a new exterior scheme, it still features it signature modifications like the iForged Wheels, Falken Tires, Baer big brakes, Air Lift Suspension, Webasto sunroof, MagnaFlow exhaust and Vortech supercharger.
